After running his own patent prosecution and patent litigation practice (along with trademark, copyright and trade secrets) as a US patent attorney in New York City (Manhattan) for almost 18 years, Mr. Horowitz joined a medium sized Israeli patent law firm in 2009 (as Partner for 11 years). He also wrote and prosecuted aerospace patents for Honeywell, a leading technology company in the aerospace industry, and advised clients on a wide range of IP issues, including infringement opinions and patentability searches. Mr. Horowitz has also successfully handled appeals of patent rejections at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Although he has a particular specialty in obtaining medical device, mechanical, 

software and e-commerce patents, over the years he has secured a wide variety of patents worldwide in many fields, including Medical Devices, Medical Diagnostic Systems, Mechanical, Software, E-Commerce, Location History, Robotics, Aerospace, Engines, Water Treatment, Artificial Intelligence, Chemistry. Mr. Horowitz is also very knowledgeable in Patent Eligibility issues under U.S. law. Mr. Horowitz obtained allowances for important medical device patents in the U.S. and Europe and has prosecuted patents for important recent patent eligibility legal precedents (see Weisner v. Google (Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit 2021-2228) and Tropp v. Travel Sentry (Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit 2021-1909, pet for cert. denied)). Mr. Horowitz’s educational background includes two degrees from Columbia University in NY (B.A. and M.S.) and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.
